Request to build a new San Marcos hospital campus on a 15-acre undeveloped site at the northwest corner of Twin Oaks Valley Road and Discovery Street.

Timing

The project is proposed to be constructed in two phases:

Phase 1 (est. 2028 - 2034)
Medical office building, parking structure, paseo, internal roadways, tower 1 of the hospital and the central energy plant.

Phase 2 (timing TBD)
Hospital tower 2

Review and approval process

The project includes several steps as part of the review and approval process:

An amendment to the University District Specific Plan, a land use plan for the area around CSUSM
A Conditional Use Permit to allow the hospital campus and permit the use of a rock crusher during construction
A Tentative Parcel Map to consolidate and reconfigure lots to create one lot for the medical office building and one for the hospital and other uses
