Reserve a Picnic Area

Pick your perfect spot—San Marcos has 23 reservable picnic shelters across 13 parks, ready for birthdays, BBQs, and get-togethers. Reservations are required for groups of 25 or more and for parties with an inflatable or a pony/petting zoo. Smaller groups can still reserve a shelter or enjoy picnic areas on a first-come, first-served basis.

Shelters may be reserved online at least 8 days in advance or in person at the Parks & Recreation office at least 4 days in advance. Full payment is due at the time of booking.
