Household hazardous waste includes materials that are ignitable, corrosive, reactive, or toxic. These items often have labels such as "caution," "warning," "danger," "poison," "toxic," "flammable," or "corrosive." Examples of HHW include paint, household cleaners, pool chemicals, automotive products, and pesticides. These materials must be properly disposed of and cannot be thrown away in household trash or poured down the sink.
