Special event spotlight

Bunny Breakfast

Bunny Breakfast

Saturday, April 4 | 8:00–10:00 a.m.
The Barn at Walnut Grove Park

Hop on over for a cozy morning celebration with the Bunny! Enjoy a delicious breakfast and a chance to take your own photo with the Bunny during this family-friendly spring event.

This is a sweet, relaxed way to kick off the season and create a memorable keepsake with your little ones.

Cost: $10 per person (non-refundable)

Important notes:

  • Tickets must be purchased in advance online by scanning the QR code
  • Ticket sales begin Wednesday, March 11 at 10:00 a.m.
  • Photos with the Bunny are available throughout the event (8:00–10:00 a.m.)

Spring Egg Scramble

Spring Egg Scramble

Walnut Grove Park

Get ready for a morning of big-time spring fun! Kids are invited to a community Egg Scramble featuring 20,000 prize-filled eggs scattered throughout the park.

Arrive early to enjoy a FREE children’s carnival with games, jumpers, and fun activities before the scramble begins.

Egg Scramble timeslots (bring your own basket!): 

  • 10:15 a.m. 0 to 2 years (parents allowed)
  • 10:25 a.m. 3 to 4 years (parents allowed)
  • 10:35 a.m. 5 to 6 years
  • 10:45 a.m. 7 to 8 years
  • 10:55 a.m. 9 to 11 years
  • 11:05 a.m. Accessible timeslot (caregivers encouraged)

Bags N' Brews

Grab your crew and bring your best toss—Bags N’ Brews is serving up a full day of cornhole, cold craft brews, tasty eats, and good vibes! Whether you’re in it to win it or just here for fun, you can choose a recreational or competitive tournament and enjoy the party in between rounds.

Expect music, kids’ activities, and a lively community atmosphere that celebrates local businesses and keeps the good times rolling all afternoon.

Junior Ranger Day

Become a Junior Ranger! Step into the role of a nature explorer and earn your very own Junior Ranger badge through fun, hands-on activities. Discover local plants and animals, learn about conservation, and pick up important trail safety tips along the way.

Bring your bike to test your skills on a chalk course, and take advantage of free bike and helmet safety checks provided by Ride Krew. You can also explore a variety of free, nature-themed activities hosted by local vendors.

Perfect for young explorers of all ages—come ready to learn, play, and adventure!

Summer Concert Series

Summer Concert Series

Enjoy live music under the stars at the Wood House in Woodland Park. Bring friends, family, and a blanket or chair for an evening of great entertainment.

Location: Wood House in Woodland Park, 1148 Rock Springs Road
Time: Gates open at 6:00 p.m.; concerts begin at 7:00 p.m.

Tickets:

  • $8 presale
  • $10 at the door
  • $25 season pass
  • Free for children ages 12 and under; ages 13 and older require a ticket

Presale tickets are available at the San Marcos Community Center, Senior Center, or online. Presale ends at noon on the day of each concert. Additional tickets may be available at the door starting at 6:00 p.m. Your receipt serves as your ticket.

Low-back beach chairs or blankets are recommended for lawn seating. Outside food and drinks are allowed.
