Hike, Bike, Walk, or Trot at our Annual Trails Day

Get outside and explore San Marcos! Join us for a guided hike, bike ride, walk, or equestrian experience through some of our most scenic parks and trails. Whether you're looking for a challenge or a relaxing outing, there’s something for everyone.

Choose your adventure:

• 5-mile challenge hike
  Hike with our Rangers to Double Peak Park and back via the Double Peak Trail, featuring over 1,000 feet of elevation gain.
• 5-mile bike ride
  Enjoy a scenic ride through the Discovery Trails and around South Lake.
• 1-mile interpretive walk
  Take a leisurely guided walk around Discovery Lake and learn about the local environment.
• 6-mile equestrian trot
  Ride along the Ridgeline Trail starting at the Ridgeline Trailhead. Equestrian participants will meet at a separate location.

Event schedule at Lakeview Park:

8:30 a.m. – Check-in opens
8:30 a.m. – Event area and booths open
9:00 a.m. – Welcome remarks
9:30 a.m. – Hike begins
9:35 a.m. – Bike ride begins
9:40 a.m. – Interpretive walk begins
