The City of San Marcos' Parks and Recreation Department is seeking new volunteers to participate in the Reserve Ranger program! The Reserve Park Ranger is called upon to assist the Ranger program in the protection and preservation of the city’s parks and trails; ensure park patron safety; interpret park rules and regulations to park & trail visitors, and to assist when needed in providing quality programs and events for the City of San Marcos.

The Trails Advisory Committee promotes community engagement in the development, maintenance, and utilization of both the existing and future trail systems. It advises the City of San Marcos Parks and Recreation Commission on trial needs and concerns, emphasizing the importance of citizen involvement. This includes collaboration with Reserve Park Rangers, docents, Eagle Scouts, school groups, interns, and other community members in the stewardship and enhancement of our trails.
