The City of San Marcos has released its draft Program Year 2025 Consolidated Annual Performance and Evaluation Report for public review and comment through Sept. 22, 2026. The report highlights how the city used Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds during the past year and the projects and services those funds supported.

The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development provides CDBG funds to cities each year. Cities use these federal funds for local projects and services that benefit low- and moderate-income residents. In San Marcos, CDBG funds support affordable housing, community services and neighborhood improvements, such as the new mini soccer pitch and shade sails over the playground at Richmar Park like pictured.

Community members are invited to review the draft report and provide feedback on the city's use of CDBG funds, the projects and services supported, and the city's progress toward its community development goals.

The draft report is available at www.sanmarcosca.gov/CDBG and in print at the City Clerk's Office.
