During the San Marcos Creek District project, preserving and restoring the San Marcos Creek habitat remained a priority for the city. Approximately 1.5 miles of creek habitat were restored with newly planted trees and plants, along with storm drain systems designed to improve water quality in the creek. Environmental protections help support native wildlife, reduce erosion and improve the overall health of the creek ecosystem. Preserving this natural habitat helps enhance the beauty of the area while ensuring a healthier environment for the community to enjoy.
