Traffic safety reminders ahead of spring break

As San Marcos schools begin their spring break, the city reminds residents to stay alert on roads and in neighborhoods. With more families out and about, a few extra precautions can help keep everyone safe.

Safety tips for drivers

- Slow down in neighborhoods and near crosswalks

- Watch for children and families crossing the street

For pedestrians, cyclists and e-bike riders

- Wear bright or reflective clothing
