The City of San Marcos is pleased to announce the reopening of the San Marcos Senior Center following the successful completion of a federally funded project to enhance the building’s HVAC system.

The upgrades significantly enhance comfort, safety and accessibility all year round for the many older adults who rely on the center for daily programs, services and connection. The improved system ensures a more reliable and welcoming environment year-round.

The city extends its sincere appreciation to the community for its patience and flexibility during construction. While the Senior Center was closed, programs and services were successfully relocated to the Richmar Center and Community Center, where participants continued to stay active and engaged.

The reopening marks an exciting return for one of San Marcos’ most valued community spaces, where older adults can once again gather, learn and connect in a comfortable and safe environment.
