Roof replacement begins on Meyer-Doran House 

The City of San Marcos will begin construction on Monday to replace the roof on the Meyer-Doran House, also known as “the pink house.”

Crews will replace the roof, which has significant water damage, and will work to match the original appearance as closely as possible. 

The “pink house,” located along the corner of Discovery Street and Via Vera Cruz, sits in its final location.

Due to the home’s historical significance, the city will complete additional structural restoration work. At this time, no plans have been made on how the house will be used.
