Families are invited to explore the outdoors at Junior Ranger Day on Saturday, May 16, from 2 to 6 p.m. at Jack’s Pond Park & Nature Center.
This free, family-friendly event gives kids the chance to become Junior Rangers by completing hands-on activities focused on local plants, wildlife, conservation, and trail safety. Participants who complete the activities will earn a Junior Ranger badge. Guests can also explore the Nature Center and connect with local organizations through interactive vendor booths, including The Home Depot, Boy Scouts of America, and Vallecitos Water District.
Additional activities include a chalk bike course with free bike and helmet safety checks provided by Ride Krew, along with crafts such as tote bag decorating, rock ring making, and rock painting. Attendees can also enjoy outdoor games, music, and meet a park ranger. Food will be available for purchase from Mi Estilo Jalisco.
Junior Ranger Day is free to attend, with activities available while supplies last. Parking is limited, so attendees are encouraged to carpool or use nearby street parking. For more information, visit our website.
