In honor of our extensive and growing 72-mile trail network, the city invites all to join Trails Day on Saturday, June 6, at 8:30 a.m., to explore the beauty of San Marcos’ parks and trails. Participants will meet at Lakeview Park (650 Foxhall Drive, San Marcos).
From a range of guided hikes, rides and walks hosted by park rangers and naturalists, participants can choose from a challenging experience to a relaxing stroll.
Event highlights include:
Ranger-led hike to Double Peak Park: Five-mile round trip with 1,000 ft. of elevation gain
Scenic bike ride: Five-mile loop through Discovery trails and South Lake
Leisure nature walk: One-mile interpretive walk around Discovery Lake
Equestrian trot: Six-mile ride along the Ridgeline trail
